The spirit of innovation and dedication to science once again marked a brilliant achievement for QUBA Islamic School, the best international standard Islamic school in Bekasi City. The contingent of QUBA Islamic School students successfully brought home prestigious awards from the International Zone by Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) 2025, held from February 19 to 22, 2025, at the World Trade Center, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The participation of QUBA Islamic School's 3rd-grade junior high students in MTE 2025 was accompanied by their dedicated mentor, Ms. Dyane Putriera Anggraeni. The event, aimed at building new partnerships and networks for product development, provided a perfect stage for QUBA's young innovators to showcase their talents and revolutionary ideas. MTE 2025 was not just a competition but also a vital platform to empower the next generation of innovators, inspiring them in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), and equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue careers in innovation.
The event began with the bustling activity of booth installation, brimming with creativity. Students enthusiastically decorated their booths, put up informative posters, and proudly displayed their innovative project prototypes. A healthy competitive atmosphere and a spirit of collaboration were evident from every corner of the exhibition.
The following day marked both the peak of tension and excitement: the judging session. Two professional judges visited each booth, giving students the opportunity to deeply explain their proposed projects and outline the future plans for their innovations. After the intense judging session, guests from various backgrounds, ranging from academics and industry to government officials, flocked to each booth to interact directly with the young innovators and engage in interactive Q&A sessions. This moment was a golden opportunity for QUBA students to present their ideas to a broader audience, gain valuable feedback, and even forge potential connections for the future development of their projects.
The climax of the event arrived on the final day with a vibrant rewarding ceremony. During this agenda, winners of each category for gold, silver, and bronze medals, as well as special awards, were announced. The entire QUBA Islamic School contingent and their mentors felt their hearts pounding in anticipation of the announcement.
The results were truly commendable! QUBA Contingent 1 successfully won a Silver Medal and received a Special Award from the National Research Council of Thailand. This is a recognition of their dedication and hard work in creating innovations with great potential. Equally commendable, QUBA Contingent 2 also managed to secure a Bronze Medal. These achievements affirm QUBA Islamic School's position as an international standard Islamic school that excels not only in religious education but also in the development of science and technology.
"Our students are very enthusiastic and want to repeat similar activities," said one of the mentors. This enthusiasm is a strong indicator that events like MTE 2025 successfully fostered interest and a spirit of innovation in the students. The great hope from participating in this event is for students to be able to bring their innovations to a global audience, and this achievement at MTE 2025 is a very positive first step towards that goal.
QUBA Islamic School remains committed to providing a conducive learning environment for the development of students' potential in all fields, including innovation and technology. This achievement at MTE 2025 is clear evidence of that commitment and serves as an inspiration for the entire academic community to continue to create and innovate.
